VectorCraft 0.12.0: Web pen input and Dimension tool
The latest VectorCraft release adds Apple Pencil and touch input support for the web version with palm rejection and pressure sensitivity. A new Dimension tool has been added for technical drawing workflows. Legacy .ai export now preserves groups and layers, addressing a long-standing compatibility gap. This release includes extensive PDF import hardening to prevent crashes on malformed files. Dictionary values that cannot be parsed no longer crash nesting checks, ink/font scans, or stream processing. The shared PDF writer is now used for both export and print composition.
What it means for you: Web users can now use pressure-sensitive stylus input directly in the browser, bringing the web version closer to desktop parity. The Dimension tool expands VectorCraft's utility for technical illustration. Legacy .ai export improvements make file exchange with Illustrator users more reliable, though the project still identifies full Illustrator compatibility as a gap. Users working with PDFs from varied sources should experience fewer crashes. The hardening addresses real-world scenarios where PDFs from different generators have structural inconsistencies.

LightCraft 0.8.0: HDR AVIF and DNG export
LightCraft 0.8.0 adds HLG HDR AVIF export with tested SDR/HDR display decision logic, and Render to DNG export format. The release includes 85+ reviewed pull requests across integration batches. New camera support includes Nikon D90 and D7100 (with Lightroom-matching frame), Leica Q3 (verified against private DNGs), Olympus E-10 as-shot white balance, and Hasselblad Lunar. Non-linear Kelvin temperature slider now matches Lightroom's scale.
What it means for you: HDR workflows are now supported with proper display handling. DNG export enables archival and cross-application raw workflows. These are significant additions for photographers working with high dynamic range content. Photographers with these camera models can now use LightCraft with proper color and white balance handling. The Kelvin slider improvement makes white balance adjustments more intuitive for Lightroom migrants.
